| No Longer Protecting Human Rights Law: The Liberal Democratic Party has decided not to enact this law during this opening period of the national Diet assembly. This is to avoid conflict within the Liberal Democratic Party. Without such conflict, it will be easier to privatize the post office, which has a higher priority. Koga, the driving force for the Human Rights Protection Association, said, "It is not the right time to discuss this matter, because it might give upset the vote on the privatization of the post office". The leaders of Liberal Democratic Party said, "We won't bring this matter up in this period of the National Diet Assembly. However in the future we may do so." The congressmen in the Liberal Democratic Party who oppose this law have formed a group named "Assembly of considering of the real Human Right Protection". Hiranuma is the chairman of this group.
